More often than not when I speak to people about what I do they aren’t really sure what a Health Coach is, let alone how we can help! Health coaches are a growing profession and I believe (and an increasing amount of medical professionals agree) that they are going to play a key role in helping the nation (and the world) get healthier.

FOCUSED ON YOU

As a health coach my job is to focus on YOU. What you need, what is best for you, not for anyone else.

I am not someone who is trying to get you signed up for the latest product, or to sell you the latest supplement. I am just someone who is coming from a neutral place (with no ties to anything else in the industry!!) with a desire to make changes to the world in order to get us all healthier, happier and feeling better, in order to live our best lives.

Health coaches are here to help you become and expert in your own health (instead of becoming the patient). So instead of a one-size-fits-all approach to healthcare, a health coach will LISTEN to you, HEAR you and SUPPORT you as you need.

That ☝ says it all really. I am here for you. To cheer you on from the sidelines. To be your supporter even if there is no-one else around you to encourage these positive lifestyle changes.

As a health coach, I am here to hear. To listen without judgement. To understand. To be a loving support. To see you fall off the wagon/get back on again/learn from mistakes and succeed. And I’ll be there cheering you on all the way.

How amazing would it be to feel AMAZING? To feel ALIVE n KICKING?! To have so much energy you are bouncing off the walls!?

I’ve experienced a few transformations in my time - I know how important it is to feel supported and to feel confident in the choices you are making (especially when others around you are sceptical!). Hold you accountable to changes

One of, if not the most important factors of success, is accountability.

How many times have you tried and failed at something when you attempted it on your own. How many times have you tried and failed at something when you are doing it with someone else? Together? I bet it’s less than the first number… That’s because we are more likely to be okay with letting ourselves down, compared to the idea of letting others down.

In fact, a client recently said this to me during a coaching session:

“Knowing I had you to keep me accountable for making these changes has been one of the things that kept me going, helped me to make decisions for the better, and one of the reasons I have made as much progress as I have”

I could have hugged her when she said this! (Except for the fact it was over Skype … making it physically impossible!). By showing up session after session, whether discussing victories or struggles, the fact that you have someone to keep you focused is a huge factor in making changes successfully. No matter what you want to achieve you can rely on a health coach to be there and keep you accountable to your actions.

 
 

Motivation & Goal Setting

If you struggle with motivation I can help you work out what it is that you want to achieve, and what might be holding you back (even if you don’t know what it is!). From there, in small, easy steps, we can work out how to build and sustain positive lifestyle changes, tailored specifically to you.

On the other hand, have you ever set yourself goals you really want to achieve but very quickly realise you aren’t getting anywhere near the results you expected, which then makes you feel like total rubbish? Which then makes you stop all together?!

Yeah, I’ve done that too.

With my experience with supporting clients, plus all the lessons from the experiments on myself over the years, I can help you to decide where you want to get to, and set realistic goals to help you achieve them.

TRANSFORMATION

So, imagine we’d been working together for a while and nothing really changed for you over that time... It’d make me pretty rubbish at my job wouldn’t it?!

As we work together over a few months, I get to know you and hold you accountable to your actions… which means you consistently work towards your goal, step-by-step, one foot in-front of the other. Slowly, changes happen! And then ta-dah…. you look back one day and you realise you’re quite a way from where you used to be!

 
 

I can help you transform yourself to reach those health goals - whether that be to rid yourself of headaches and migraines, to have more energy and reduce tiredness or to help you to be more mindful and deal with stress more effectively so you can feel better in yourself. After all, there is no better feeling than feeling better!

Finally, as a holistic health coach, it is my job to see the whole picture of your life. All the pieces matter!

I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about primary and secondary food before, and that it’s not just about the food on your plate, the other things in our life like relationships, social life, career, home environment, sense of purpose, joy, and level of activity can all have a huge impact on our health and happiness!

What’s going on elsewhere in your life could be affecting the balance, or could be a hidden reason as to why you are feeling so tired, or why no matter what you do you struggle to loose that weight. So it’s really important not to blame what’s going on with just what’s on your plate. We explore other factors to make sure we aren’t missing anything.
